MCAG to hold public hearings 

The Merced County Association of Governments’ Social Services Transportation Advisory Council will be holding public forums to seek input from residents on current transit services and to discuss the future of transit service in the region.

Six public hearings are scheduled to receive testimony from community residents on unmet transit needs that may exist in Merced County. These hearings are part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to improve the overall transit system and to ensure that transit needs are met for transit dependent persons in Merced County. The public hearings are scheduled as follows:

City of Los Banos

January 29, 2018

3:00pm AND 6:00pm

Los Banos Community Center

645 7th Street, Los Banos

City of Atwater

January 30, 2018

3:00pm AND 6:00pm

Atwater Council Chambers

750 Bellevue Road, Atwater, CA

City of Merced

February 1, 2018

3:00pm AND 6:00pm

Merced Council Chambers

The Bus will provide free fixed route transit service to members of the community who are interested in attending a public hearing. For members of the community who are ADA eligible, transportation can be arranged by reservation by calling (209) 384-3111. Spanish translation services will be available at each hearing. The Bus is the single public transportation service provider for all of Merced County and is administered by the Transit Joint Powers Authority for Merced County and managed by the Merced County Association of Governments (MCAG).
